If it didn’t track the motion path correctly, try and use the selection tool to select a specific colour of the object. This will then analyse the video and your object and create the finished product. Once you’ve selected your option and made your chances, click the “Track” button.Mosaic will allow you add a blur to an object of your choice while spotlight will focus all the action on that object while allowing you to choose the brightness and effect size. This will allow you to add a mosaic or spotlight. Again you can add a border, allowing for smooth motion and adjust the size of your tracked option.Įffect: The final option is to add an effect. This will allow you to import an image or video from your hard drive or one that’s already in your media room. Images & Video: For this one select image/video. You can then adjust the title so it changes with the size of the tracked object, growing smaller or larger as your selection does. You can then choose the font, colour, alignment and add an editable border to the text. Text: If you’d like text to track click on title and type in whatever you’d like it to say. You have three options here text, images & videos or an effect. Next up select what you’d like to track the item you selected. This could be a person, scenery in the background or an item. Use the selection box to highlight what you’d like to track. This will bring up step by step instructions, but we’re going to take you through an alternative. This will bring up several options – select “Motion Tracker”. To begin the process, you need to select a clip and drag it onto the timeline track.

CyberLink PowerDirector Motion Tracking Tutorial

In many pieces of editing software you’d need to painstaking add the effects in frame by frame, but with Powerdirector you can make these complex, professional changes with just a few clicks see our walkthrough below. This allows you to add specific effects to any object in your video you could add blur effects to make objects more mysterious, cartoonish effects for a funny or surreal touch and a whole range of other effects that allow you to completely transform your video. For those unsure on what exactly motion tracking is, it allows you to add effects to moving objects. Once upon a time, it was only useable by professional editors, but with the help of powerful software even casual users can simply and effectively increase the production quality of their videos. etc so should be a lot smoother.Motion tracking is an invaluable tool. I have a decent machine with i7 16gb ram, 6gb nvidia, ssd m2. My PD preview is okay because I use shadow files but as soon as a LUT is applied and maybe add stabilizer etc, the whole preview just craps out. I also keep hearing that PP does previews a lot smoother than PD. I have been using PD for a few months on and off and so far it is doing almost everything I want except a way to somehow adjust LUT intensity, better color grading (like for eg reduce magenta/red/orange from faces of people once you have applied a LUT) etc. (Not saying they completely took it out, just that the convenient options are gone and you have to perform more steps to do that). However I did notice they took some things out of PD17 that used to be automated in PD16, like it is no longer straightforward to rotate videos in PD17 and that you cannot just right-click on a clip and produce a freeze frame at the current position of the timeline. In the very broad, general sense PD17 is going to work the same as PD16 (at least in terms of interface, workflow, how certain things are done, etc). (edit) And since you already have PD16 you might as well just try using it first and see if it is sufficient for your needs.

I'm basically getting the same feeling from Premiere pro as well However the rest of Resolve was waayyy more complicated than I liked so I stuck with PD. "attach" (not sure if that's the right term) it to multiple clips, and even better making changes to the color later on affect all attached clips together. I briefly played around with Resolve, color grading there is much, much more powerful and you can easily take the same settings and. I don't know how that works in Premiere Pro since I don't use it. Okay so keyframe attributes are basically just the color attributes only.

Keyframe attributes are only keyframe attributes.
